Quilters supporting local charities with our talent and treasure.
Our Story
A bit of our story…in 1999 the Chippewa County Piecemakers quilting group held the first quilt show at the Chippewa Falls Senior Center. In 2014 the Stitching Pals Quilt Group took over hosting this fabulous event and it moved to the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds. It is held each year on the first full weekend of October, Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 4. It is a lovely indoor venue that is easily accessible to everyone.
The Chippewa Valley Quilt Show has grown exponentially over the years and we are proud to display approximately 200 beautifully created quilts and host 20 vendors for your shopping pleasure. There is no fee for entering your handmade quilts. It is not a judged show, however, the guests are asked to vote for their ‘Viewers Choice’. We encourage youth and male quilters to submit their creations, as well as family members of a quilter who has left their sewing machine on this earth, to submit a quilt by their loved one in their memory.
Many charities and people benefit from our group and this wonderful annual event. Annually, we donate hundreds of beautiful quilts to local area agencies and community organizations. This is one of our greatest pleasures to focus our time, talent and treasure on. Our hope is that by hosting this Quilt Show annually we will inspire current and future quilters to learn more about this art form and to use their talents to the benefit of their communities.
